We offer a unique blend of ancient wisdom and modern therapeutic techniques, guiding you on a personalised journey of self-discovery, healing and growth.
Our Story
WBTC is not just a practice; it is the embodiment of Karen’s transformative journey. A seasoned counsellor, lifelong learner and teacher, Karen founded WBTC after navigating her own personal challenges. Her path toward healing is shaped by deep studies in psychoanalysis, philosophy, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism—each providing invaluable insights into the human experience.
Drawing from a diverse background in education, marketing, psychology and spirituality, Karen blends a variety of therapeutic modalities that nourish and support the mind, body, and spirit. Also as practicing Taoist yoga teacher, she integrates this ancient practice into her holistic approach, offering a solid foundation for those seeking balance, healing and personal growth.
For over 25 years, Karen has practiced well-being techniques, continually evolving her understanding of human flourishing by blending Eastern and Western philosophies. Her approach is designed to empower clients to heal and thrive in all aspects of life.
Our Approach
We understand that every individual's journey is unique. That's why we take a personalised approach, tailoring our support to your specific needs and goals.
These modalities work together to foster self-awareness, emotional resilience and lasting transformation. We create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences with compassion and understanding.

“After being with the same company for nearly two decades, I was feeling stuck and in need of a change. Karen helped me gain clarity to navigate through this period as we set milestones to achieve specific goals and ultimately resigning from my corporate job. With newfound confidence I ventured out on my own – launching a business that’s filled me up in ways I never imagined.” Pat
“Karen was absolutely amazing. She understood what my core problems deep down from what I was verbally expressing. She responded with unconditional love rather than just presenting logical solution. I highly respect her ability to give compassion yet at the same time provide tangible strategies for me to move forward.” Sarah
"I was nervous for our first session though I was extremely surprised how calm I felt, in complete honesty, I was going into the session with a lot of anxiety and wanting to get it over with. I immediately felt at ease with Karen, she was very understanding, transparent and gave me tools I could put into practise (which I am genuinely excited to give a go). I think she matched my energy well and I didn't feel overwhelmed. I also felt I could openly discuss without any judgement and the link between wellbeing and career was communicated really well by Karen which I appreciated." Lisa
“After months of exhaustion, I felt desperate and lost. Karen gave me the support to acknowledge what was really going on in my life that had been keeping me up at night – anxiety! With her guidance, we worked together to introduce strategies into my daily routine which shifted how I approached stress and ultimately increased my energy levels. It changes everything; now all areas of my well-being are flourishing!” Jacky.
"I felt like I was too emotional, both at work and home. I wanted to be better and didn't know how. I felt like I was letting myself down from being my best self. After seeing Karen during our sessions, I found new techniques, skills and a whole new approach to starting the day so I could manage my emotions and understand myself better. It has reset me completely." Tom
